Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond is a large Scottish loch located between the counties of Dunbartonshire and Stirlingshire. The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond is often the final piece of music played during an evening of revelry in Scotland.
Loch Lomond has the largest surface area of fresh water Loch in the UK. The Loch is 24 miles long and five miles wide and at its deepest point is some 600 feet deep.
On the Loch there are approximately 38 Islands, some of them inhabited and there is even a Hotel on one, Inchmurrin.
Some 200 species of birds and over 25% of Britain's wild plants have been recorded in the area.

Thanks for the comment. Although we had nearly a week of non stop rain the last time we went and I swore I swore I would never go back some how I get the urge to go agian.
The highlands of Scotland are a fascinating place.
